wedding ceremonies in Italy
Most of the time, civil weddings take place in the town halls of the cities and Borghi. Many cities offer the possibility of having a civil ceremony outside of the town halls, but it is not possible everywhere.
In Venice, the chosen location is the beautiful Palazzo Cavalli with its stunning view on the Grand Canal – though it is possible to have a civil ceremony in two more palaces belonging to the town hall.
The Borghi in Central Italy, Tuscany, and Umbria, are filled with beautiful and peculiar town halls and private villas that can host civil weddings.
In Cortina d’Ampezzo, besides the town hall, you can also have your civil ceremony in one of the many mountain huts surrounded by the stunning nature of the Dolomites.
Catholic churches are the most common in Italy, but you can also have Protestant or Orthodox Christian weddings in many of them.
Naturally, we will be glad to assist you and help you plan a non-Christian religious wedding, too!
Italy is filled with stunning churches, basilicas, and duomos that are real masterpieces of their time. However, not every church allows non-Catholic weddings to take place; some will not allow you to have your wedding celebrated there unless you are a local parishioner.
